Nice HOT air intake.
Your engine will love the higher intake air temps.

At least by leaving the bottom half of the stock intake box on he has some water protection.

Get some PVC and throw yourself together a cowl intake. If you've never heard of it their are plenty of how-to's on here. It will get you cooler intake air temps and prevent you from flooding your engine. It will be even cheeper and work even grater than that setup you've created.

I agree with it working grater than his but it wouldn't be cheeper. The in-line air filter would cost as much as his setup if not more.

Thats true, I cant stand the sound of these filters in the cold. Just sounds like a vacuum clogged up lol.

You just leave the stock flat filter or K+N flat filter, block off the front air box
opening and use 3" tubing to duct the air intake up to the cowl and then to the lower portion of the air filter box.
Not my pic, but a good example.

Ahh, I was thinking more along the lines of replicating the Spectre style cowl intake. The way you should would indeed be CHEEPER!

He'll have to go get another airbox to do that, since he already hacked his up to make a hot air and water intake.
