Today i received my new intake that I bought off ebay, since no name brands make intakes for my 88' jeep i had to buy one of those cheap intakes off ebay. Well I got it and hooked it up, it works better than I expected but i am confused. In front of the stock intake box there was a tub running to the bottom side of the engine, the tube that was on there is pretty much junk from age but I am very curious what that tube and hole is for on the engine and will the engine be effected that I have nothing attached to it now since I can't attach it on the new intake and have never seen such a thing before on aftermarket intakes

 

never mind my friend used a bright light he owned to show me that it was just a hole used to hold the tube and that it doesn't affect anything
