Default Aftermarket Cam Swap

If I swap out my camshaft for an aftermarket cam will I need to reflash my comp., what else will I need to swap.. I need an answer real quick as I already have my cam pulled and have ordered a factory cam. It is in a 99 cherokee 4.0

No you should not have to change the computer if you are using a factory cam. You should change lifters, and timing chain set too wile you are in there.

I already have my lifters P rods cam kit and gaskets. Was wondering about putting in an aftermarket cam rather than original..

Oh, okay. I think the aftermarket cam companies would have the information that you would need as far as tuning or flashing a computer.
