How do I install a tachometer in my 88 Cherokee??
My Cherokee doesn't have a tachometer. I want to buy one and I dont know how. I want to buy either a regular mounting one or and digital. How to?

Does your Jeep have the idiot light instrument cluster?
If so,
go to the local boneyard and scope out an XJ with the full instrument panel.
You'll not only get the tach but also the real time oil psi, temp and battery voltage.
I don't know what year clusters are interchangeable.
Maybe someone here knows for sure.
You have to post the year and model of your Jeep though.

I put a generic aftermarket one in my 88, and mounted it to the steering column. It was easy, and worked very well.
The directions are easy, hardest part is getting the wire thru the firewall to the distributor.
