Default aerocatch hood pins (flush with hood)

googled and didnt see any. only seen tradition hood pins.
if anyone is running them id like to see them and how you made them work and where you fit them
if anyoen doesnt know. aerocatch makes flush pins...and locking pins.
would be nice to drop some weight with all the hood popping junk but i dont like thieves/crooks and im sure you dont either

I run them on my 240sx. They are a great product but from my experience I would say they may not be the best choice if you have an gas cylinders aiding your hood lift. Installing them isn't too bad on a hood like the XJ's since it is so flat. They have a template that comes with them to help you do the install.

You know you drive a box right? How much weight are you going to shave by removing the hood release? If you're worried about thieves, don't put hood pins on.

its convienent. plus the actual brand aerocatch has locking ones.
its a good alternative if you whole latch system is jacked up or your always under the hood. i do realize how much it weighs. every bit counts though.

Little master locks fit the hole in the hood pins. I take it you already stripped the interior to shave weight yes?

I'm giving you **** just seems like there are much simpler, less costly solutions.

They are cool as **** though!!!

There is a simple truth here though, you won't be saving any weight and a determined criminal can defeat them pretty quickly. It's a good deterrent for those lazier though.

Lose Weight on an XJ, your kidding, right?

I worry about weight on race cars yeah after all your looking for HP to weight ratio. But something that weights 2 tons "NOT".

Hood pins very important to me also they hold the fiberglass hoods on the race cars. 4 of them pull the 4 pins and lift the hood off so you can work on the engine or adj. front suspension.

If your serious about weight there are so many other places to start where you can loose a bunch of pounds not a few ounces at best.
