Default Add a Leaf vs Shackle Leaf on NEW springs

Like the title says have someone wanting lift work done on their cherokee. Wanting to go 2 inch budget boost. Their leaf springs are already sagged so I let them know that we are getting new leaf packs. Money is somewhat of an object here. I am not sure which way to go on the new springs? What would last longer in the grand scheme of things a shackle lift or add a leaf? Both are roughly the same price without shocks but looking for the most "comfortable" (in parenthesis for good reason) and longest lasting for this particular one? I can't use mine as comparison cause its just too far gone! Thanks everyone for your input. BTW going with the Monroe Reflex shocks for a JK Rubicon. For the money you can't beat it... Plus they don't want to pay for Bilsteins.

I personally went with a shackle on my stock leaf springs and then when I lifted it kept the shackles. I like the adjustability of them personally. Easier to install too. But if you're already buying new springs why not just buy 2" lift leaf spring pack? I know some people buy new upcountry leaf spring packs and they gain 2 inches also there is ome who sells 2" lift packs

Neither will work with a worn out leaf but for a very short time before the sag returns with AAL or broken leaf spring with shackles.

Sometimes there is really no way around a spring replacement when that bad.

Guess they should have bought the right leaf to begin with. In that case a shackle would be a better choice I think.

If you go with OME leafs, their AAL is made to work them them. That is the only AAL I recommend.
