Default ABS power switch mod?

First off, if you have no knowledge of electrics, please bug off.

So i've been wanting to put a switch on my ABS system. Why? Because there are times i would really like to have it, and times where it tries killing me. So it's more of a safety kill switch. I was thinking of putting the switch on the ground for the ABS control module, then tapping an LED into the ABS pump to show when it's being run (Just for lols and to look high tech).

I though it would be wise to ask people who are familiar with XJ electrical systems. So is it possible, and/or safe (Safe as in i won't fry anything)?

'92 Sport 4x4, Also I have the rest of the ABS wiring diagrams if anyone wants to see them.

If you add a "kill" switch your going to kill yourself.
You wont have normal brakes when you flip a switch.

Try pulling the small 10 amp fuse for the ABS brake pump, then try to drive and stop. Without the pump, your break pedal requires lots of force to stop and could cause you to break the brake pedal.

How will killing the ABS affect my brakes? They're vacuum boosted and i already have the #1 and #2 replays pulled as is.

Unless you guys think i have the Bendix9 system

Yep thought you had bendix. Just eliminate it then.

So will it work or will it still get me killed?

I'd say just remove all the ABS crap. I hate ABS added weight and complexity to the system. I know how to brake when driving. Also, maybe I want my brakes to lock up!!! Hell I've got a 99 w/o ABS. I've slammed the brakes super hard to avoid hitting a dog, stopped from 31mph to 0 in about a foot or so (threw everything in my Jeep forward lol) but didn't lock up the brakes.

I had a 91 that had a Bendix system. Got rid of that junk. Was glad I did after I learned about their big flaw. That system was almost 100lbs of junk out of the engine bay. Plus it braked a lot better with the vaccum booster.

So, in conclusion, just get rid of the whole system. Upgrade to the bigger booster while you're at it. (If you don't have it already)

IMO I would just remove it completely. Most XJ's don't even have it. But to me you diagram looks like it would work. I would use put a fuse with the splice for the LED. Anytime you add external power even for a small LED its a good idea for a fuse.
