about to order 4.5 lift.
Hello everyone. ive been reading lots on your forum and want to thank everyone for posting their trial and errors for others to see....
I just purchased a 1993 cherokee sport 4.0 ho 4door. it ONLY HAS 54,000 km on it. It was stored for 15 years not touched...not a spec of rust on it, its like it came off the show room floor back in the 90s..still has the original tires lol..
The reason for my post is im about to order the RC 4.5 x series lift tomorrow with full leafs and adjustable track arms ..ive been reading that i may or may not need a drive shaft replacement after the lift.
Can someone who has this lift on please help me understand what exactly i will need to find in a (JY ) or to order with the kit to make this work..
Thanks allot in advance and i know i need pics....ill post some tomorrow

OP you in the UK or Australia or somewhere overseas?
What do you mean by, "lease help me understand what exactly i will need to find in a (JY ) or to order with the kit to make this work..".
You make it sound like you NEED to find something in a junkyard. If you need a SYE, you're going to need a front driveshaft out of a another Cherokee. (can't remember which year.).

Thanks for the replies. I'm from Ottawa, Canada. What i meant by junk yard or ordering was if i needed to find a longer drive shaft off another year jeep which some are 1" longer but cant remember where i read that. Or maybe i needed a different Tcase output shaft ,SYE....etc...

you might need shackle relocation brackets cause those RC leafs are short and will give u a bad shackle angle. as for a SYE what t-case do u have if its a 242 get a hack-n-tap and stock front driveshaft out of a automatic
