I have my 99 xj with a 4.0L and auto trans. I was looking through the write ups and thought the "703" injectors would work. However, after I went to the jy and searched out these 703's they have the early plug style and wont work on mine. so my question is the write up says the part Numbers :

784 injectors is what you want. Forget what they're in but I know its a neon of some sort.

 

I need to know what to look for. It makes it alot easier to find them if you know what year and model to look for.

 

I just went by every neon and looked at the injectors till I found ones that had 784 on them lol.

I only found 4 then 6 months of trying to find more, I bought 4 off a member in here.

As for what they're in, the info is on CF just search it. "784 injectors"

 

Ive heard, and seen several threads on puting 5.0l mustang injectors in. they say they have 4jets instead of the OEM 1.
Just an idea

 

I think the injectors you're thinking of are from the 5.0L Ford Explorers. I don't know of any 5.0L Mustangs that came stock with the 4-hole injectors. I own a 1990 Mustang with the 5.0L and I've only ever heard of people upgrading to Explorer injectors with 4 holes. I could be wrong but I know mine came with single-hole injectors.

The 784 injectors are usually found in the Chrysler Cirrus/Dodge Stratus/Plymouth Breeze sedans and possibly some other Chrysler co. vehicles that used the same engine. It's a DOHC 4 cylinder, I believe 2.4 liter. Not all of the vehicles I mentioned came with it though, I believe it was an option.

If you can't find the 784/703/Ford 5.0L injectors locally, feel free to send me a PM, I can usually find them pretty easily.

Programbo is your man. I bought 5 stes from him. If you go looking on your own, there is a listing on this site somewhere. look for chrsyler cars and vans96-2000.

 

+1 to Programbo. Properly refurbishing injectors is a pain in the **** lol

However, the 784 injectors can be found on Chrysler 2.4L I4s in I think the 98-02 range. I found a set hiding in a Stratus but they can come in the Neons, Breeze, Stratus, Cirrus, Caravan, and Sebring... a lot of vehicles came with that engine. Beware the stupid 782 injectors, they are too short.
