Default 98 led dash

I just got a new instrument cluster from ebay with gauges and a tac rather than my basic one with just the idiot lights lol and I decided before I install it I wanna put leds in it. I read that everyone uses 5 of the 74s but all the ones on ebay that I look at dont look like the bulbs I have in mine. Maybe im looking at it wrong or something, Can someone tell me which ones to buy? Thank you I appreciate the help.

Go to superbrightleds.com and search for 74 LEDs. They look different but they fit. As long as the bulb end is no wider than the socket end (and they aren't longer than stock) and they should fit. Easy.

You can buy ones with new sockets or take the bubs out of the existing sockets. I've not tried the ones with new sockets, but they should be easier.

My 98 used 5 type 71's for the gauge cluster, 6 T4 NeoWedge lights for the HVAC and toggle lights, and 1 194 LED for the t-case panel.

https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/xj-...ts-mod-126507/

Read every page on here.

You will need 5 74's for your gauge cluster and 2 194's for your t-case/shifter.
