I know you can take a 98 front head light bezel on a 92 but. Can you swap the rear hatch . I know you would have to change the tail light s out but will the hatch built up and close???

 

Tail lights and hatch will not fit.

 

They changed from fiberglass to metal on the newer hatches. When they did that, they also changed where the hinge goes from on top of the roof to on top of the hatch lip (where the weatherstripping goes on). It can fit if you found a way to make the hinge bolt up but that would require a lot of fabrication and isn't really worth the time when you can pick up another hatch for $50 that will bolt right up to your '92.

 

I just like the rear tail lights on the newer body style, and I have a set laying around from my 2000 I was just wondering but thank you for the information
