I've searched with no luck. I need some help with wiring diagrams. My 90 xj has only 3 wire plug and the 97 mirrors have four. Any help will be greatly appreciated.Thank you.

 

Well I looked at the 3 wire in my 90 xj and noticed that 3 out of the 4 wires from the 97 mirror match. So I tried matching the 3, so just had to figure where the 4th one goes. It was easier than I thought. Now I need to finish the driver side(hope it goes as easy as the ps).

 

So where did the 4th wire go

 

Also, what do the 97 mirrors afford you that your 90 mirrors did not?

 

Larger, fold tight

 

After you match the 3 wires just look at the old mirror pigtail to see which one has 2 wires together. In my case it was the blue one. Hope that helps anybody trying to swapt mirrors

 

Maybe it's me, but my 96 mirrors fold tight, as well.

 

Maybe you already have 97+ mirrors. As far as I know 84 thru 96 have the same mirrors which don't fold, they snap out of place and can easily snap back in.i know for a fact that they don't fold cause my ps mirror was broken off by a branch.
