hey all, i recently blew my motor in my jeep

ive decided that instead of selling it for like 250$, it would be more worth it to make it a bad *** rig. i want to put a 5.9 magnum v8 in it out of a 99 dodge ram 1500. i know there are conversion kits out there for trannys and motor mounts.

the reason i want to do this is that i have heard that it is a reasonably easy conversion to do compared to other motors, and i can get a 5.9 magnum v8 for about 700$.

anyone in the forums here who has done one of these? anyone who maybe just has some good insight that would be helpful?

anyone in eugene or surrounding area who would like to take part in this challenge with me and my friends??

 

We are in the process of doing a swap like this in our XJ. We plan on turning this into a kit you can buy to do swap. But if you already have motor send us a message or as we go ill post pics of our build here. We are trying to make this a 50 state legal swap. We are using the motor from a grand cherokee 98 and trans to be determined with t-case. I can say this its a little tight but worth every inch lost.

Thank you Gee oh dee we will keep all info of swap on this post here. Any how kit will come with motor mount kit (weld in at uni-body rail) and on motor. Also belly pan already set up for our long arem system, and any smog gear needed and wiring harness. There is a change with that and some grafting of the two. We will also offer a supercharger option and we are working on possible trans option. Stay tuned during our build and we will be more than willing to answer any questions.

 

defiantly sub'd. like seeing all the options for swaps for when mine finally decides its ready to retire.

 

Will do as for now supercharger is Vortech, and trans is AW4 with many mods. We will post up on belly pan option, we are planning it to a combo set up. As a frame strength and as a belly pan for front suspension.
