92 XJ 6" lift...need extended brake lines
Ok, I am upgrading my stock brake lines to make up for the lift and additional flex. I have been looking and have over loaded on what's available or will even work.
I have read about Chevy lines, GMC lines, Dodge lines, etc....
I have also heard about using YJ lines, which run longer than XJ lines.
My question is, do the YJ lines actually work on the XJ?
Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.

They do work, but they are only about 3 inches longer. I am looking to do them on my 4" lift though i have been fine so far with relocated and straightened lines. But 6"s would be pushing it. You'll need longer ones. Unless it won't be flexing and stay on concrete

I'm using 94 Chevy c1500 2wd front brake lines for my fronts
and 96 Dakota 4wd rear brake line for the rear.
Im at 5" lift and fully flexed I have tons of room to go..

Stainless braided lines are very nice though.
There's a company called techna-fit that does inexpensive DOT cert. SS brake lines.
FWIW, I have about 4 inch lift and am running YJ lines up front. I have an RC SS braided line in the back. The rear line is a bit long for my lift but it works. I'd say it's probably about the length of the Dakota line. I do mostly sand, and trail riding, not much rocks.
I also run a 96 Dakota rear line, no issues at 5.75 or inches.
My fronts are stock YJ lines ($18cdn each) with relocated hard lines, I can drop my axle enough to remove my front Springs and spacers with room to spare while the calipers are still mounted.

Not as fancy as braided, but cheap, readily available, and long lasting.

Hell, I'm lifted 4" in the rear and my rear line wanted to pop out. Had to temp remove bracket from frame to be able to drive on concrete.
As for relocated fronts, that's good up to 4.5" then it starts getting tight.
So once again, do not ever under and circumstance give advice either here or in life. That is all
