Default '87 XJ tire help needed

hey im new to this forum. i just picked up my 87 xj and wanted to put some bigger more agressive tires on it that will do well with light off roading and hold up in the snow. i wanna keep it pretty cheap seeing as how ill swap them out when i lift it. thanks for any advise

30's are about the biggest you'll wanna run on no lift; i think they'll rub at full lock though i cant say for sure. i ran 30's on an 1.5" lift and the tires wouldnt rub no matter what i did though

thanks, any idea on a cheaper tire thatll hold up in snow for the time being?
