Default 8.8 disc brake conversion?

So I bought another jeep for a tranny because mine went out and it so happens that it has a ford 8.8 like mine except it is disc brake and i want to put them on mine. What all do I need to pull off of the parts jeep to make the conversion.

The whole axle would need to be swapped over.

Disc brakes from the 8.8 will not bolt directly onto the jeep axle if that's what your trying. You don't have to change the prop valve as it already sends too much force to the rear end for the factory setup but is closer for a disc setup. You can get the prop valve off a zj if you really want to swap it.

Okay that makes more sense. You may need the brake lines as well but nothing on the jeep parts should need changed just the Ford brake parts. May need to swap the backing plate studs but I'm not sure if there is a difference with the 8.8 like there is with the 8.25.

Are the axles geared the same? And it's out of another cherokee? If so, just swap the axle. Bob's your uncle.
