Default 8.25 Swap Driveshaft?

Will a new Driveshaft be needed when going from a D35 to a C8.25?

How much lift do you have? I have 4.5". For mine I used a front drive shaft. I had a SYE so I was able to put the double cardin joint that I had on my 35 driveshaft on to a front driveshaft I got from a junkyard. Works great.

2.5" lift, I'm just wanting to swap to the stronger axle because I found a good deal on it. Just wondering what I'm going to need to do to make it work.
