8.25 rear !

I wanna take the pinion out of a 27 spline and put it in a 29 spline carrier... Are the pinions the same ?

The pinion & ring gear are a matched set. Not a good idea to mix them.

So if I take the ring and pinion out of the 27 and put them in my 29 I should be good ?

Yes I have I was just wondering if the pinions were the same before I pull em both apart

As long as they are both 3.55 ratio yes, however they have to be together as a matched set as others have said.
