So i am in parts gather mode getting ready to do the 63" rear leaf spring swap and ran across a set that are 62" eye to eye unsprung. Will that one inch make that much of a difference? (Why do i have the feeling someone is about to say ask my wife?)
Yes i did the search on thee boards and even a blanket google search.

I just don't see how they will fit, the rear eye where the shackle connects will be under the bumper.
28"-29" behind the axle is about all you can run.
You can run a long spring with an offset center pin if you run them backwards, with the short side behind the axle.

Where's the center pin on those long leafs? If your shackles are behind your bumper and the wheel is in the wheel well then your departure angle will be terrible

center pins in the center of the leaf. I'll tell ya you're very right. departure angle sucks with shackles hanging off the bumper. but it's not the end of the world because if you're smart you run a super high clearance rear bumper to make up for it

with the chevy springs the center pin is usually in the center. so, if you move the front leaf mounts way forward (like foxwar on naxja) you will have the shackles hanging out a bit but it's still manageable. I'm running chevy 56's. junk yard springs aren't crackin. my buddies clap out 63's all the time (on 1 tons). but they're cheap and they work for a year or 2 until you can afford to link it
63" Chevys seem like a poor swap candidate to me, you could find a similar length spring with an offset pin so it would hang out so far behind the axle.
60" dodge half tons would be a better choice.

there is a local guy that is running them and he used the Hd offroad engineering shackle re-locators in the rear, and the ruffstuff spring swap kit as well. He moved the front mount forward 8" I think. The setup works really well on and off the trail.
So when my bastard pack came apart on me and left me in a situation where I was needing to look for cover because there was a tornado on the ground less than a mile away. I felt it was good time to do something better.

There is a local guy running the 63" springs on his. He used a kit from Ruffstuff and bought new 63" springs locally. Shackle mounts are in the factory location. Rear axle is still in the factory spot.

I've been running 54" S10 springs for a few years, pleasantly stiffer than the factory garbage that came stock. The ride is drastically better than stock, especially with a load. I don't see any reason why they would only last a year or two, I pulled them from a totaled S10 with 80k miles.
