It didnt take long wheeling in the PNW to scrub the stock mirrors off on a tree. So I wanted to make some mirrors that you could remove when wheeling. Plus the stock mirror are crap, so small they dont give you a good view. I purchased 6" convex mirrrors off amazon for $11 each. link below.
When you take the mirror off the plastic piece that they clip into thats screwed to the door (the piece that breaks) can be used as a template. I used 2" .120 flat bar and cut them 2.25 inches long. Then rounded the corners and used the plastic piece to center punch 4 holes. I just put 2 screws in them to hold them on using the stock screws which I will swap out for stanless soon. I then used a piece of 1"x3/16" flat bar cut 4" long for the mount arm. Only took a couple hours and they look great! The view since they are convex is amazing!
