I have a 6.5 RC lift on 33s. Front drive shaft is stock( no problems at all). Drove for about 2 months with out the SYE( even wheeled it a couple times) and didn't have any problems except a little on the hwy when I let of the throttle.
My thoughts: buy a good kit so your happy and you only spend your money once. Save and do the SYE at the same time.

I had to pull my front drive shaft because the vibes were so bad. Now with that being said I have spent the last 4 months rebuilding a front axle because the PO was an idiot. If you plan on re-gearing then your going to feel the drive line vibes even more.
Make sure that when you get your alignment that they understand how to adjust LA and have a rack that can handle your rig. Because this is something (one of very few) that I am willling to pay for, I will be taking it to 4 wheel parts for final tweeking.
