Default 6.5" long arm questions

so just picked up a 99 xj and plan to lift it with rough countrys 6.5" long arm kit i plan on going with a sye kit eventually and will be running 32's simply because i have them already and dont want to deal with buying another set just yet but my main areas of question are steering and gearing. will i need to throw a set of gears for that set up? the jeep is my daily driver and also who sells a steering upgrade kit that will take the trails and road with ease? anything would be helpful

With 32s I'd say run stock gears till its time to go bigger then gear it

Save yourself the headache and the money down the road and forget about rough country. Buy a better kit. I'm in the process of removing all of my RC stuff.

x2. clayton makes a good kit. if your only running 32s you could fit those on a 4.5 lift if you wanted unless you want to get the 6.5 and go bigger tires later

Your gonna need a SYE right away with 6.5". I dont know of the rear axle will work with that much lift.

I have a rustys 6.5 on 33s. There is a lot that goes into it. SYE, drop pitman, drive shafts, gears I recommend sooner then later. Upgrade you steering etc etc.

it will help a little bit if you use a slip yoke off a yj. it is more cut away for clearance than the xj yoke.
might buy you some time.

Keep saving your money until you have enough for an SYE at the same time.
