or is he running long arms? short arms on a 6.5" lift sounds like a jail sentence to me.
They aren't necessary to make the lift work, but they would probably be good if you have the money.
I haven't had to worry about it since I have long arms though.

The adjustable upper and lower arms will help with axle positioning and caster adjustment, but your control arm angle will still be severe. You will have a "pogo stick" effect with short arms at a sharp angle. It will ride rough and be jarring. The drop brackets will lower the back of the arms, thus reducing their overall angle and will smooth out the ride. Long arms effectively do the same thing by lengthening the arms and lowering their angle. Its all geometry.

yeah I guess so. the caster change is pretty freaky when your axle articulates at that height on short arms. I had bad caster on adjustable short arms at 4.5" lift and it was all sorts of wonky at higher speeds. like I've said before I'm way more afraid of the guy behind me on the freeway whose got poor steering and control arm angles than the guy not running sway bars..

I'd say drop brackets should be required bare minimum if you plan on freeway driving. but as with anything else.. try it out the cheap way and see how ya like it

6.5" on short arms is insane IMO. I thought they rode rough enough at 3.5" and now with 6" of lift and TnT long arms it still rides like a truck.

Stock steering at 6" just downright sucks. It's currently what I'm running and my jeep can be a handful to drive. I'm looking at doing the JCR OTK kit with an OTA track bar.

I would absolutely recommend at least control arm drop brackets if not long arms and also shackle relocation brackets with the OTK steering.

Piece it together. Better parts and cheaper. I'm probably at 6.5 with RE 4.5" coils, ACOS, IRO Trac bar, iron man LCA'S, RE 3.5" leafs, iron man SRB's and shackles. Rides better than my old RC 3" lift

Another part for the steering area would be steering box brace .
