Is that a CAD front axle?
May be that the only thing useful is the TC.
It's best to get a similar model year for compatibility, but anything is possible if you want to do it.
I was just wondering if I could do it or if it would be worth the money

The front axle will work, the trans may fit, just depends on the spline count. I'm not sure where they switched over, but I think there is a write up somewhere that details all of the changes over year models.

You'll need the trans to mount up the t case. The tail cone is different between the 2wd and 4wd. I've heard it is a real PITA to swap tailcones, but I've never looked into it.

Don't let that deter you though. Do some reading and you figure it out in no time. I'll see if I can find the threads I used when doing my conversion.
It's definitely easier to swap the whole thing. I'm pretty sure the plugs would be different though. The TCU may be different as well. Don't let that deter you though. Do some reading and you figure it out in no time. I'll see if I can find the threads I used when doing my conversion.
