4.5'' lift and what else
I don't like the c clip of the Dana 35 and I got a deal no one could turn down. I got the truck 98xj 98000 miles a arb air locker still in box a Dana 44 axle and chromoly axle shafts all for 2500. It was a great deal.
And the axle already had the truss on it and painted he never got to instal anything and had to off load it. I have to say probably the luckiest day In my life. So if you still rub you think I should stay with 33 and 456 gearing I really want to do it once and do it right. Thanks for your time and help man

I have had mine flexed out and even with the 33's just barley had enough room with what the trimming that had been done and other adjustments along with bump stops. The 35's would require a little more work but not a lot and the 2" more clearance would be nice at times. But being a hardcore crawler or the like I guess the current setup will stay pretty much the same till the long arm in the spring then I'm close to finished except for the drivetrain.
The D35 is not desirable for off road and wow what a deal on the D44 setup at that price I would have one also. It sounds like your sure on the right track I did the same only wanting to do things once. So far my only temp has been the 3 to 4 1/2" lift waiting to long arm for a few months and adding all the new parts needed for the extra 1 1/2"

You scored a sweet deal on XJ and D44! If your plan is to run 35's I would do the required trimming now and be done with it. I dont plan on running 35's so after I do a little more trimming and final adjustment of bumpstops I am done. Good luck with your build.
