4.5" lift w/35's ?
Hey guys,
I'm new here of course (first post) and just bought my first xj ever yesterday. Has anyone got 35's on their cherokee with just 4.5" of lift? Im sure major trimming is a given' ? If anyones got any pics of theirs with just a 4.5" lift with 35's would you let me see some pics? I already have a new set of 35x10.50 boggers and a new set of 11.4 tractor tires on my toyota straight axle build but would like to not have to buy anymore. I ordered a 4.5" Rough Country lift today so I'm hoping I can do this. If not the wifes going to be pissed if I have to order a new set of 33's to make this work.
Thanks if you can help!

With alot of trimming, and proper bumpstopping done it should work fine. I would plan for a regear in the near future too, your cherokee will be quite a dog on 35s and stock gears..

If all your concerned with is fitment then you should be fine with major trimming and bumpstopping. What year is your jeep and what are your goals for it (short term and long term) ? Serious off roading? Occasional backtrails? Mainly on road?

Just gonna trail ride it. Hardley ever gonna be on the road. Guess you wouldn't really call it serious. Sounds like 33's are in the near future. If its that close with 35's ......eff that. If it cant flex and turn it aint good or nothin'. Can I run 10" or need to stick with 8" wheels with 33's ?
Thanks guys.
Thanks guys.
You'll probably still have to trim and bumpstop to avoid rubbing.

i have had 35/16.50/15's on my cherokee with 4.5 inches but that was a tight fit mostly because of the width i had rubbing issuses in the rear when i was starting to flex if they aint that wide i think u will be ok just expect to go a little bit bigger after u put the 4.5 on the front fenders wont be much just look at my pics with the mtrs and you will see my cuts

The good thing is you got 35x10.50. That is going to help A TON. If they were 12.50, then yeah. More work. I definitely think 35x10.50s will work w/some trimming and bumpstopping. And you'll be able to flex it out nicely.

When I hear 4.5 on 35s w/o reading everything else posted... SYE... then I hear BOGGERS(!!)... I think breaking axle shafts...
Go for it.. just dont wromp on it.. keep the axle hop to a minimum... and keep the throttle to a min... let the gears crawl you over stuff and let the tires find the traction for you..
Momentum over BIG obstacles would be too much a temptation for me.. I say.. forget making it bullet proof.. how about making it "Trapper" proof!!! I really dont think it exists I really dont LIKE to break stuff.. I swear.. it just happens
