Was wondering if anyone has any experience with this. I will be swapping this into my 94 xj, ax15 tranny... Yes I know half the people on this page are going to say the 4.0 is way better. I'm not looking for those comments. I need actual info on the swap. The main reason I'm lookin for info is because I already have a motor wiring harness and ecu ready to go. If anyone could enlighten me on the subject it would be much appreciated

 

Is there a reason you are doing it other than the fact you just have the stuff? You need to google 5.3 swaps and read up on those since they're going to be the only engine swap write ups with any decent pics or information.

Yeah truthfully thats the biggest reason. I have a motor with 20k on it. Came out of an '06 1500. I found the bellhousing adapter, I can make motor mounts. But other than that ive never done a motor swap other than when I used to play with hondas

 

It's just bolts at that point. You can do it, although I would hold out for at least a 5.3.
