I have the dreaded cracked header problem. I have been looking at headers and ive been trying to find the best deal i can find because money is a little tight. Found a nicely priced stainless steel header thats ceramic coated. Any problems with ceramic coated headers? Ive heard from someone at work that had problems with a ceramic header. Anyone heard of this? Would like to know before I buy

I haven't had any on jeeps but I've had ceramic coated headers on muscle cars that were sweet. As long as flang is thick & its a quality header it should be fine. I just ordered obx tuner header.

how long did it take to install? i know you have to remove the intake along with the header since the utilize the same bolts but do you have to disconnect the fuel rails and everything seperatly?

the fuel rail goes into the intake holes where the injectors dump into the motor, you can just pull the rail/injectors out and let it sit on top of the valve cover while everything is off. its really not as hard as you think. it took me about two hours start to finish moping around here and there and i changed my injectors while i was at it.

i disconnected the lines going to the fuel rail and left the fuel rail on the intake manifold, i also numbered the fuel injectors with tape to make sure they went back on in order.
