we were just discussing ethanol in gas the other day and someone mentioned switching to LP. so i know the conversion to LP is doable and id imagine having a dual set up would also be doable. hit up the thread search and see what you find. sounds like we are headed for 15% corn in our gas soon. so i think gas is not gonna be an option in the not to distant future cause not many engines will run 15% for long...

I think most any vehicle can be converted to propane......lots of shops do the conversion. The kicker is where to put the propane tank. Most conversions I've seen have been P/U trucks (plenty of room for both tanks).

i did the convertion in down here in costa rica, mine is an 2001 XJ. The only place suitable for the tank is in the rear next to the spare. I used it for three years, but it always litted the check engine light, due to "poor mixture or O2 sensor malfunction". Then it killed the CAT..., have it replaced for a brand new one, pretty expensive.

Once I didn't notice that I was running out of gas, and then all of a sudden the engine shut down ( driving up hill on high way ), little scary...

Finally because of all of the above, and practically cero cargo space, it got exhausted of it, of I removed it and have now the hole thing in my storage.

+ At high RPMs it stalled a little. Like doing overpasses.

My experience.
