i'm close to getting my lift together for my 88 xj & i've got an opportunity to get a set of new yj 3.5" front springs for a good price. i'm a decent wrench, i've researched as much as i can using the search feature, and have found that the eye-2-eye length is close or equal to that of my 88 xj. since the yj is SUA, & the xj is SOA, these 3.5" yj springs would net 5"+ of lift? anyone else have an idea? (please help w/ some sort of info or links, & not "use the search function")

Going from SUO to SOA on a YJ with stock leafs will net about 4"....so with 3.5" SUA lift springs you are actually looking at more like 7.5" of lift once you put them in an SOA setup. Are you ready for that much lift?

According to that there is a 7" length difference between the xj and yj springs. And IIRC yj use xj springs to stretch their front so I would double check the lengths

sweet chart! it looks like even if i were to do this, it would move the axle too much. the axle is more centered on yj springs.

Like stated YJs use XJ springs for a stretch and you would get a 3" stretch.
