Default 3inch lift?

Im looking at a 3 inch lift kit that has front and rear springs, shocks, transfercase drop and lower control arms. What else would i be needing for the lift? Pitman arm? Track bar? I plan on a drive shaft kit

Which lift kit are you looking at? That would help with advice. I still run a stock track bar at 3.5" of lift but it's getting replaced ASAP.

You don't need to drop the transfer case. Mine came with drop brackets for the sway bar. I did replace the track bar, just because mine was shot, not neccesary for a 3" lift.

You don't need to drop the transfer case or get a drop bracket for anything really. I've been running my 3 front and 3.5 rear pro comp lift for a few years now and never had the slightest problem

for 4.5" lift, you'll wanna make sure you get new brake lines (don't want to over-extend your old ones, plus gives you a good reason to bleed them for a quick tune-up), replace the trac bar for sure (even with a 3" lift reaplce it, just helped my buddy with a 4.5 RC adjustable lift and those bad boys can be a pain in the *** due to the fact they're a tapered bolt), new coil springs obviously, new shocks all around (throw a new stablizer in while you're at it for 40 bucks more ), and then you have you're control arms to replace both UCA's and LCA's.

Also, are you planning on having a shop do it or yourself? I would also go 4.5" preferably, maybe that's just because i've put about 10 different ones on for people .

You may need a tc drop. I needed one with my 3". Every jeep is different. Just pit the lift on, see if you have vibes, and put the drop on if necessary.

Not necessarily, it's like what Drew said about the TC drop... just depends on your rig and how you want it to feel when you drive. but a beefier/adj trac bar would be nice for when you go off-roading incase there's and shifting of your axle due to the small stock one. It's all preferance for that.

4.5 inch you'll probably need a SYE and a CV rear drive shaft to keep your drive shafts from having too much stress. Also is probably go with some heavy duty U joints.

for 4.5" you'll want an adjustable track bar as well. An SYE is best, but a tcase drop and shimming the rear axle works too.

I just did a 3 inch lift on mine with new rear springs. I absolutly needed the extended rear brake line. The fronts are plenty long.

I didn't need a longer brake line.
