Quote: Hope you plan on doing a full shave on that 14 bolt with only 37s

14blt axles have massive differential. a common mod is to shave (cut) a few inches off the bottom of the diff and weld in a steel plate. The diff cover has to modified and the ring gear needs to be machined (O.D) as well.

This allows for greater clearance under the diff.

It was covered in Xtreme 4x4 last week.

saw it, good info too. I wish it would have went into more detail regarding how freakin heavy they are....GEEBUSSS!!!!

Last gear install I did I had the owner leave the wheels on it so we could let it roll off his trailer.

Yeah 14 bolts are crazy heavy. I know it was hard to move my 60 by myself. I couldn't imagine a 14

I'm on 4.88's now and 35's. We will see how they hold up. I was shocked when I opened the box and saw the size if the pinion. It is a little scary looking.
If it breaks it will be my excuse for a 44 or 60. But man it crawls awesome

Yes check out my pics on here. I ran 35s with 4:56s last year. I had no problems, plenty of power.
