Default 33's on stock xj

lol this gonna sound dumb but here goes. This guy wants to trade me his 33x12.50's for my 30.9.50's but I dont have my lift in yet. Would I be able to drive my jeep (on pavement) with 33's at factory height as long as I dont turn sharp or will they scrub as soon as i lower the jack?

they will rub unless you cut a lot, I had 32s on a 2in BB and they rubbed on the pavement before I took a saw to the fenders both in the front and rear

I look at my XJ every day thinking how i could fit a 32 or maybe even a 33 inch tire in there. Just would have to trim a little thats all. I say trim away and let us know what you gotta do to make em fit. If your like me I would just trim the fenders a little and install bushwacker flares to make it look nice.

pull the sway bar loose in the front and you would have to take the fenders off. my 31s rubbed with a 3.5 till i trimmed 3 inches off the front and 2 or so on the back.

What's the point? Be realistic and don't embarrass yourself at every turn or bump IN THE ROAD.

You would have to mangle a cherokee with no left to fit 31s let alone 33s. I just put 31s on my wifes and it has 3.5 and even that rubbed the front bumper. We tried 33s but there was no way I was cutting that much on a DD.
