I just popped my new 33x12.5's on the jeep today and I'm so happy with it. However I had to remove my flares and do some cutting to get proper clearance.

And now while driving if I make a sharp turn or turn the wheel all the way, it still rubs. And I'm talking a gut wrenching rub. Like it hurts my soul. I figure I'm just gonna cut some more but it seems like it's gonna be way too much cutting.

Any suggestions?

Where did you cut?

It's probably rubbing on the pinch seam that runs along the inner fender in front. Just crank the wheel left and right, see where it rubs, then trim and hammer accordingly.

We definitely need better pictures but just judging off of those you did not cut nearly enough. First it is impossible to cut to much off the front and make sure you do not cut through the rear pinch seams, that could end very badly.

I'd assume it's rubbing at the Back of the front fender...looks like inner fender clearance isn't an issue at this stage in his rubbing issues...

If you look after a little bit of rubbing, paint will be rubbed off and that's where you need to trim.

Get out the sawzall and ankle grinder. You've got cuttin' to do.

This is with 33x10.50's on no lift, but I have 12.50's now.

Looks like by the bad pic you still have the plastic inner fenders in the front. Bet that's what's rubbing.

Its possible its rubbing on the lower control arms too

They're rubber and very flexible. I'm keeping them on until I get new flares for at least a little protection. This rubbing is not rubbing on rubber, trust me.

If it's not rubber then you're rubbing on your control arms. Any idea what the back spacing is on your wheels? Tire don't look to be all that wide or have big lugs.

x2 on the back of the front fender, it's probably hitting the pinch seam some. Also my buddy cut his fenders and then took some weather stripping and super glue and ran that along the edge of the cut metal to protect the tire some more and give it a nicer look.

Sounds like ya need to pound the inner seam flat and then trim the fenders I can fully stuff my 33's on a 3.5" lift without rubbing even with my front stretched 2"

I agree that's exactly what I did. That way you don't have to worry about resealing the seam if you had cut it.
