The cooper at3 is supposed to be one of the best ats out there right now and will probably do you good. Mud terrains are going to struggle on ice and packed snow so if it's a daily driver you may want to stay away from those. Cooper st maxx and Goodyear duratracs are both somewhere between an at and mt and are both supposed to do well on slick wet surfaces. I just got the st maxx in 31s on my xj, I love them so far but they haven't seen any wet conditions so I can't comment yet on their performance.

Another vote here for Duratracs. They're great in the snow IMO

If your on a budget go with treadwright.com. They are retreads but they are a good tire. Now they have bead to bead retreads which I think are suppose to be more durable. I'm running their Wardens in a 31 with no complaints. The tread is almost identical to the old style BFG all terrains. They are amazing in snow!

duratracs are great in their 315/75/16 size. All the rest have 2 ply sidewalls (vs 10ply) and depending on what you wheel in, may rip on ya. They are amazing on snow and ice... definitely the best out of the 10-15 different tires I have ran. They also last forever (my last set last just over 70,000 miles).

The treadwrights are great for the price! I am actually running the guard dogs right now (untill Wednesday when i get new durratracs) and they are a great all around tire. I have about 45,000 on them and to be fair, they could have lasted much longer if I didn't have a Stroker and a heavy foot. The kegde grip is awesome- it really grips well- but it does make them wear faster. Their "warden" is an exact copy of the BFG Atkos that are so loved.

The new ATKO2 looks pretty sweet as well. Little more aggressive than the ATKO and super tough.

Stay away from dedicated MTs in icy conditions.. They work fine in a few feet of snow but on ice they are absolutely terrible! I know this from many cold/icy Montana winters

Guard Dogs are awesome tires. I ran them for years when I was still on 31's. Honestly, if they had them in a 35" flavor, I'd still be running them.

I have those also. 33x12.50 I needed something cheap to replace my 33x10.50 BFG KM2 for icy conditions. I can't really give them a proper review because of my lack of snow/icy driving experience but I'd like to get another set and have them studded

The Treadwrights are HEAVY. Be aware of this if you have stock gearing. I took a chance and had the TW Wardens for all of 1 month before I got sick of them. I switched to Duratracs and all is good. Saved me over 10lbs per tire. Makes a huge difference on an anemic high mileage engine carrying a couple hundred pounds of bumpers and armor. The Duratracs have been BEAST in the past couple snow storms in the north east.

I've had Grabber AT2s in the past and these are a great budget tire as well for snow.
