3"lift need help
bought my first car a jeep Cherokee Laredo 92 for 900$ running good horrible shocks!! so i decided to install a lift kit
I did a 3 inch lift on my Cherokee Laredo. new spring front. add a leaf rear, new shocks(nothing els). felt great for like 2 days then went on little off road test run and then at the uphill my jeep didn't want to go forward and then when i finally got up the hill it wouldn't change to 3 gear and it would go in reverse. Wat could have gone wrong ??? what els i need budget 300$

Do u have an auto or stick? how steep was the hill? so from wat I read is u tryed to go up a hill, and didnt make it then ur jeep started rolling backwards? The lift doesn't effect the tranny. If u rig startes rolling back on a steep hill while in a forward gear thats not good for the tranny, should either put it in neutral or reverse, or if its a 5 speed atleast have the clutch in

Check if your trans fluid is low.
Stick your hand down the transfer case lever and feel how hot the underbody is.

I have a 3 inch lift and that has never happened to me, so it definitely has nothing to do with the suspension as it is a trans issue more than anything.
My guess is your trans is going out. Since you just bought it, it could have plenty of problems that you don't know about yet. $300 definitely won't replace or rebuild a trans, so if you can get more money, get more money to fix it. If you can't, sell it. Just my two cents
