USN jeepxj how is the ride, does it bottom out quickly/violently?
I never would have thought bushwackers would allow 34s.
btw where are these photos?

I built the orange XJ for my dad and it is running OME springs with Rustys control arms and Bilstein shocks; the ride is superb! Its a little on the stiffer side when offroading and it probably needs some more bumpstops in the front. But it works well for my dad and the roads he drives.
Bushwackers will sorta stuff 35's with some rubbing (obviously with a lot of extra bumpstops at 5.5" of lift...
Thanks!

the yellow jeep is closer to what i had in mind as long as it can take trail with some flex or enough i wouldnt complain. does this set up stress the vehicle anymore than average as the flex is limited?

is this practical though? as a DD and wheeling vehicle will speedbumps/ anyother be instant bumpstop slappers? 31"+ 3.5 lift flexes very well but is axle/body clearance sacrificed with 3.5 " lift & 33x10.50x15 tire? would giving some pumpkin clearance kill the suspensions potential? im not a rock crawler but some trails/ mountain passes have some extreme transitions.

After a couple years at 5.5-6" and 35s I have learned that much lift is unnecessary. Right now my tires will stuff into the inner fender before they hit the bumpstop which basically means I have unused uptravel. I want to lower my lift down to about 4.5". That seems to be the sweetspot. With long arms and OTK steering it should allow me to run my current shocks to have great down travel.
