@ empty.. Yeahh that pin and ring gear issue is why ihavemt locked my front end yet lol. In all honesty, my jeep doesnt drive any different with the locker in. Might be different in snow though.. But then again i have 12.50s so traction isnt too much of an issue anyway. Ive read the mini spool sucks for the 8.25, but ive never tried it.

 

It honestly really isn't that bad to do, just mskesure it goes back together the exact sane way it came out. Everyone's scared of gears but they really aren't that bad if you pay attention to what you are doing

 

All I had to remove was the Carrier pin and the Spiders to put the Dana 35 locker in the 8.25

 

Chrysler 8.25 27 spline with 4.10s. Did NOT have to remove carrier. The pin slid out past the ring gear , no problem. Front dana 30, 4.10s, pin would not clear ring gear. Have never heard of or been able to locate a mini spool for a 8.25. If someone can actually give me a manufacturer and part # for one I would like to try one.

 

No one makes a mini or a full spool for a 8.25 if you want something like that you will have to weld the spider gears its the same concept.
