? Lock bolt? The center pin bolt? I haven't gotten there I was just asking the differences in carriers. I have to remove the carrier to get the center pin out the ring gear gets in the way. Remove carrier, remove ring gear, remove center pin, remove spider gears, install locker. That's what I had to do on the front atleast.

it gets a little difficult to assemble the rear locker with the center pin in an 8.25 out of the axle...considering the center pin needs to be out to install the c clips.

Damn I forgot you have to take the pin out first.....I could probably shave the teeth around the pin. I was still thinking about ho the front came appart, and the rear in my car.....damn c-clips its so nice and easy to replace axle shafts on rears that dont have them.

When I installed my locker, I didn't take anything but the pin and spiders out. The ring gear and carrier were left in. Now with the D35 locker into a 8.25, that might be different. However.. Just buy the right locker for your axle. I just put a locker into my 27 spline. It's a pain in the butt, but you don't have to go through all that EXTRA hassle...

They are stock gears...I swapped my axles for a pair of axles from a 95 4cyl 5speed when I snapped the lca mounts wheeling. If I could find a used 27 spline 8.25 for a decent price I would buy one, but new ones are like $400 and I can get a used d35 locker for like $100
@thedude, you could get the pin out with 4:10 gears?

I thought about a mini spool since they are only like $50. I do drive it on the road often, it is my bad weather driver, and sadly get better gas mileage than my car even now on 35's
