Don't see where the problem would be wheeling it other than the bead separating aired down but i never air them down only off road it sees is mud an the beach no rocks to climb in Florida an it is my dd so yes I like my rides to look good seems 20s ain't y'alls thing but I like the deep dish wide stance look but rims are in I ordered a 6.5 kit an sye ill keep y'all updated on how it fits not sure how to post pics or I would keep everyone posted on the build an to the trash talkers y'all can have ur cut up jeeps it looks terrible to me I can make the exception for a trail only rig though no sense in that looking good

The problems with wheels that big they are cast aluminum they weight 30 lbs pre rim and only have a load ratting of 3600lbs pre rim. With cast aluminum rims off road they don't bend they break like glass and after thy break you can't repair it.With the small sidewall tires you have less room to air down with out risking popping a bead with them. And the cost of those tires is insanely high.

Going with 20x12 wheels would require some wide tires. Most people on a 12.50 tire use a 8-10 inch wheel. I like the idea of 20's but not for off-road.

That looks awful...like those Honda guys that run those rims and tire combos, it's stupid retarded.

OP, go ahead and do what you like to your rig, it's your time and money, just don't expect much love over your choices here...

I retract my previous statement. I saw "20x.." and also rolled my eyes but I missed that you said x12". That's way to wide. I'm not going to tell you it can't be done but you'll probably have to sacrifice some turning radius or need to clearance some spots.

I could never understand the Florida obsession with big wheels. The couple times I've been there its like people put giant wheels on every car they own.

I have no issues with 20's, but on the right vehicle. IMO a cherokee is not the right vehicle. I run 20x10's on my daily driver but thats a diesel, and I sure as heck wouldn't run a stretched tire.

The weight alone of a 20x12 is going to cause more wear and tear, not too sure whats going to need to be cut/clearanced to have a half way decent turning radius. Are you planning on re-gearing?

I run 20x12 on my truck....BUT only because a customer brought them back because he scratched them haha!!! Couldn't turn down the deal. But I would like to get narrower rims soon. My truck doesn't go wheeling because it's freaking heavy and my jeep is much better. It tows and works hard though. I agree that 20s look ridiculous on an xj. But that's what floats the op's boat. I think there is going to be lots of clearance issues with that wide tire, and parts are going to wear at a huge rate.

Why stop at a 20 why not a 32 or whatever the biggest rim is they make now.For what the 20s and 33s cost i could buy 16 inch pro beadlocks and 40 inch swampers or pitbulls,
