I have heard whispers that these axles are just Dana 30s with a 44 center section. I know of a company that makes sleves that can be welded on to beef up the tubes. I know that there are gussets for the inner C's as well. I am getting one of the axles for FREE. I would just like to hear some input from experienced jeepers on these axles. Any advice given is appreciated.

i have put a couple under some xj they are a good upgrade over the 30 since you got it for free, definely self the c's up and if you got the coin sleeve it, are you buying new brackets ?

I'm assuming that new brackets are necessary, so I was thinking about going with TNT Customs truss that can come with all new brackets.

I dont need to have this axle under my XJ any time soon so this is going to be a slow build. I just want to make sure I have all the right info before I put any money into it.

How did you do it? Did you weld on each individual mount and brackets?

Keep in mind that the JK axles:

Are wider
Have a different wheel bolt pattern
Use a CV-Style yoke, not a standard u-joint yoke.

I have this in mind. I'm not planning on running a 35 out back. Do you know how wide they are exactly?
