2 inch lift questions?

The Upcountry lift is another great option for sure. The Upcountry and the lift I pieced together use the same leaf springs. The Monroe shocks are also a good budget shock. Whatever OP prefers.

an adjustable track bar is very desirable imo, even with a 2" lift, as the lift displaces the front axle slightly to one side (by altering the effective length of the trackbar geometry)
its touch and go with the rear brake line, but you should replace it if is old

I ran a 3" lift with stock everything for over a year and never had a problem. It also did great off-road with 31s and lockers.

2" track bar
Following this thread and at a similar spot to OP but my budget is higher. Doing an upcountry variant trying to get to about 2.5" lift using OME leaf springs in rear removing a leaf, moog cc782 plus a 1.75 spacer up front with bilstein shocks all around. Today it's a stock 91. Anybody think that is a bad plan let me know!?
Having a hard time finding an adjustable track bar for that short of lift on an XJ. Metalcloak is my first choice but concerned it's to long. Any suggestions?

@4BangerDanger how much lift did your upcountry copy get you?

It is supposed to be good down to 2 inches. But as 00t444e said, often an adjustable track bar is unnecessary for such a small lift. If I were you I would put the lift on first and then see if I needed an adjustable track bar.

not what I want on a vehicle that travels the highway at speed, call me fussy
talking about steering geometry, can anyone confirm a ZJ Pitman Arm is the same fit as an XJ, but 1" longer (dropped) ?

while not strictly neccessary, unless you drill new trackbar holes, the front tyres will no longer track in line with the rear,

I have done this 4 times, and a 2-3" lift displaces the front axle (or body, depends on how you consider it) by about 1-2"- to 3/4" inch on a 2-3 inch lift
I take very careful measurements, and do my own alignments...have you ever had an alignment shop have a go?
dont like the idea of drilling new trackbar holes, as that area is a bit flimsy imo
Its probably also true slight tracking difference makes little practical effect on an XJ with big tyres
