I had my back corner of my jeep get real hot and it messed up the wiring harnesses back there and ended up frying the amp in my Kenwood head unit. I have my stock head unit back in there but... it has its own issues... I have a nice Android Auto/Apple Carplay headunit from my old work car laying around and i am wondering how hard it would be to mount. Ive seen people do it and its not vey deep as it has no CD. what would be the install process on something like that?

I installed a boss 2 din (wanted an inexpensive GPS unit) in my 2001. You will have to cut the face plate of the dash to fit the 2 din stereo. It fits tight in the space but is doable. No adapter for easy i sgallation, you will have to fabricate your own brackets. Can be accomplished in an hour or so.
