1998 Jeep automatic 4WD hard shift when out in gear
Hey y’all
I’ve got a 1998 Jeep Xj I am about to put a lift on it but when I shift it into drive the Jeep shifts hard and kinda feels as if the universal joint are bad I check them and there good and tight so what could it be. I thought about maybe it’s idle is to high but it is at 500 and 700 rpm. I am afraid when I put my lift in with out the sye the drive shafts will come out when I put it in gear. I am putting a 6 inch lift on it. And trying to find the problems before I have them.
thanx
