Default 1997 XJ Speaker Upgrade.

Hi I have a 1997 jeep XJ country with the infinity speaker package, currently I have 2 rocker ford 12s with a pioner head unit. I want to replace all the speakers including the tweeters, I was wondering if you could help me with the size of the speakers and how many there are, especially for the size of the tweeters as I have been unable to find them! Also I wopill be replacing the infinity amp so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks.

on best buys website for when you look for vehicle specific, it shows that the front door speakers are 6.50" and that the speakers in the rear sound bar are 5.25" I recently replaced all of my speakers with kicker *** 6.50" in the front and 5.25" in the rear.

I found that the factory speaker size is around 5.25" front and rear. the front 6.5" door speakers are too big for the factory mounting holes so the doors will have to be slightly modified to mount the speaker properly. the rear 5.25" speakers in the sound bar are perfect for the factory mounting holes in the speaker bar.

I put 6 1/2 all the way around on my 99. Used shallow mount Polk on the front and they all went in with no mods or trouble.

You can always cut away the vented plastic part of the panel that covers the speaker. That's what I did to put mine in.
