Hi there. New to the site. I just bought a 1984 XJ with a blown 2.5. I have a fully built up camaro 3.4 in my lowered street S10 at the moment that I would love to stick in the jeep. I know the AX5 bellhousing will bolt up fine and dandy to my 3.4... but what do I do about the clutch?

Do i keep all my S10 stuff except for the throwout bearing? My S10 T5 and the AX5 both have 14 spline 1" input shafts. Or do I have to get a clutch kit for a cherokee with a AX5 and the GM 2.8?

My 3.4 is quite a stout motor. Shaved, polished, and ported heads. Stage 4 crower cam, ported intake, DR adjustable timing set, comp 1.6 roller rockers, big carb.. its been a really fun motor. Actually had a little roots blower on it at one point too lol.

The XJ manual trans would not hold up well with that engine as built the way as you say it is IMHO........But YMMV.
