So I have to pull the head on my Jeep to extract a broken exhaust stud...
Figure its a good time to give the head a once over:
1) Magnaflux the Head
2) Have the Valve Seats Cleaned
3) Have the Head Resurfaced taking off as little as possible
4) New Head Gasket of course
5) Check and reuse original springs and push rods if ok.
So the questions is, would it be worth it for me to also put $400 into a set of Harland Sharp Roller Rockers?
Current Engine Bolt on Mods:
CAI, 60mm TB, 1" 60MM Bored TB Spacer, 99+ Intake, APN Style Header, 2.5" Cat Back Exhuast, 703 Injectors, 40 PSI Idle / 49PSI WOT Regulator, MSD Coil, DUI CAP & Rotor, 8.2mm Wires...

At that point, I'd just get a clearwater head and avoid all the work/other costs. You're looking at a couple hundred at least for that work. Might as well upgrade.

So the idea being that the extra money spent on roller rockers
Would be better spent on just a fully rebuilt head?

I appreciate opinions on what to replace my head with however, I'm just interested in knowing if rocker rollers are worth a $400 upgrade given my current list of engine mods.
Thanks!

Definitely worth it. Quieter, smoother, etc.
Be careful of taking advice from someone who has not used them on a 4.0L.
Better yet is get a set of 1.7 and you will pick up more performance and it will have power to 4800rpm instead of wheezing out at 4000rpm. No need for a bigger cam and it's problems when using the 1.7s and they will work with stock valve springs.
Bigger cam needs different valve springs, new lifters, new pushrods.

Thanks guys, sounds like 1.6 is just to smooth it out. No real gains just a better running motor and longer life.
I'll keep my eyes out for 1.7s, sounds like their worth the little bit of extra cash it takes to find them / have them made.

If the 1.6's did that hell it wouldn't even sound like a 4.0 lol.
