I'm planning on putting a 1.5 inch budget boost on top of my 3.5 inch lift to accommodate my 31 inch tires. Has anyone done this and if so what problems might i encounter?

Extended brake lines, adjuatable track bar, or drilling it over, or a bracket, extended sway bar links, transfer case drop at the very least. Maybe a slip yoke eliminator and new rear driveshaft, or maybe axle shims.

If you want a safe ride.

Umm it's a lot more that just budget boost. Also why not just cut the fenders and why do you need to go another 1.5 for 31s?

It was cheaper than getting larger fender flares. Until having to change all the above. I went duneing shredded and bent my fenders.

Im in the process of doing it now. Got bad vibes and steering issues at first so im going step by step and seeing what fixes what. So far i got the extended brake lines. Transfer case drop is going in soon. I have a new track bar which is adequate for my current height, but when i raise it up ill need to adjust it and get new sway bar links.

Wow! Are you using the rear leaf shackle? Did your exhaust get in the way of that?

Yea using a rear shackle and add a leaf. At first it did rub, now it doesnt. I loosened the exhaust hanger and moved it outta the way a little. No more rattle.

It was no sweat to throw on the 3.5 lift. What a pain to add another 1.5. Didn't know what I was getting into. Guess I'll have to follow-through with it. Is it costing you a lot?

you will also need lower and upper adj control arms, adj track bar besides the stuff they listed above. once you get over 3.5" on an xj thats when it starts getting expensive
