Default Your Thoughts on This Rear Bumper

http://sandiego.craigslist.org/ssd/pts/3065006084.html

What do you think of it?

I don't particularly care for my stock bumper and this is a local guy; thought I might give him some business. I wouldn't use that bumper receiver to actually tow anything (I have a real tow receiver already) and probably wouldn't use those D-ring blocks as recovery points (still use the real receiver for that). But that bumper receiver would be handy for my receiver bike rack while I'm towing a travel trailer with the real receiver. And the D-ring blocks would be nice to hang spiffy shackles off of...

Anything to get rid of that stock bumper.

1/2 bour install seems generous. Soak your bolts in blaster every day for a few days before you pull your old one off.

I just had the bumper off a few months ago to install the receiver, so I imagine it won't be too hard to remove. The guy says he'll take of $25 if I don't want the bumper receiver. Like I said, it might not be a bad idea to keep it. He says my factory receiver won't interfere with the bumper. I would just rather tow with something that's tow-rated and secured better than just bumper screws.

A bit pricey and it doesn't come with tie in brackets. It would look really good if your cut and folded the rear 1/4 panel.

Looks good, but corners seem to take a beating, wondering if I would like to have a little more by the end.

I was going to mention something about this, I wouldn't use it for recovery if it does not tie in to the unibody like a hitch does.

Wouldn't tow with it. It's simular to mine and twice the price. I welded gussets from my hitch to the bumper for added strength for recovery purposes.

I thought that, too. But it looks like the Bushwacker flat flares I'm putting in extend down past where the cut & fold would be.

I agree. The guy fabs them up, so I wonder if he'd do a custom and leave a little more at the ends? Never hurts to ask.

I have a similar one with my cut and fold. It looks good , its a bit shorter on the sides. The guy I baught it from has them listed on Ebay for like $200.00. You will need to make your own brackets to tie into the frame if you want to use it for recovery or to tow anything heavy. Anyways this is what mine looks like. I think it looks good as long as you have the cut and fold.
