Exclamation Your first Jeep modifcations

Well, what were they? Big and small... And feel free to state any future plans, repairs or additions (lol)...

ALL Jeeps welcome...

The day I got mine, I put a Sea Ray sticker on it... lol Later modifications include my splash guards... Black front, rear and cargo Husky floor mats...Frame hitch professionally sprayed with bed liner... I did it while it was new so it will remain rust free... I also POR15ed the inside of the front fenders and gas tank skid... and sprayed the diffs and rear skid with black undercoating...

btw... the unibody was pretty much rust free for being a MI truck...lol It in much better shape underneath than some of the ones here with much less miles... I cant figure that one out...

Also a peice of the air intake was also missing so I took one off a 4.7 at a salvage place...And later I put on a power inverter for the trailer wiring...

As of now, thats how it sits... I am planning on the BB this winter and some MX6s... I also plan on installing a tranny cooler... Maybe some JK rims and 255 BF Goodrich ATs...

Well... let them fly...

Repairs or mods?
On the 91,

The first repair was a new head gasket, water pump, and thermostat.

The first mod was F150 coils up front, Rough Country 4.5 leaf packs in the back, a TC drop kit, trac bar relocation bracket, and 30x9.50x15 mud terrains.

Near future plans: home built bumpers front and rear with heavy duty recovery points, D44 rear axle

Other future plans: 4.56 gears and rear locker, long arm front suspension

On the 89,

Nothing yet, it is still sitting at a friends house until I get rid of the 87 junker to make room for it.

Build plans: fenders heavily trimmed, 33s, bumpers front and rear, 29 spline 8.25 with Aussie locker, 4.56 gears, homebrew front half doors, gutted and lined interior.

first mods were rain guards and husky front mats. not really mods but whatever. then my roof rack and lights. cb and pioneer avic n2(awesom radio) then came front and rear bumpers from jcr offroad. then skidplates. removed flares. lift and tires. bedlined my rockers and around where the flares used to be. must recent, winch. i think thats everything. its all in my build thread.

as far as future mods top of the list is gears 4.56 maybe or 4.88. locker front and aybe rear depending if i need it. probably more lift. def long arm. doorless or fab up some tube doors. snorkel. hood vents possibly cowl induction hood(looks badass imho). and if i really build what i want to well i dot wanna get into that cuz my bank account starts to get really low when i do. usually strt to think hmm i got a lot to do still i should order something.

My first mod was IPF H4 conversion lights, I drove the Jeep home at night for 2 hours when I bought it and the stock light output was awful IMO. The IPFs made a huge difference.

Wow... Cherokee 4.0 revived my thread...

Keep em coming...

I guess I can share my dads first MJ repair too. It was the thing that got me into Jeeps. I believe the first thing we did was replace the parking brake pedal. Then later in the winter, we took the carpet out and por15ed the floors. Then came the bucket seats.

Then our first Rubicon addition was putting side steps on then bed lining the underneath.

The MJ was what really got me into the Jeep thing though...
